Full-time / Exempt Beautifully renovated Ojai Bar & Restaurant is searching for a Director of Food & Beverage.
Zaidee's Restaurant & Banquet Facilities are located at Soule Park Golf Course, this owner-operated establishment is part of a vibrant and historic Ojai community.
Our Renovated Zaidee's Bar & Restaurant, was launched in early 2022.
We serve breakfast, lunch/brunch and dinner.
Our facilities also offer banquet events for leisure, celebrations and corporate groups.
You will certainly enjoy leading a team in a beautiful setting with extraordinary views of the Ojai Valley and Mountains.
You must have passion for Food, Service, Hospitality and Community.
Experience in a high-volume Bar & Restaurant with a busy banquet & event component, and strong leadership and professionalism is required.
This person must function well under pressure, be organized & multi-tasked, self-motivated, possess great communication skills, train and educate your teams, and be able to create and maintain a positive work environment.
We expect you to be an asset on the dining floor and the entire property, and to direct and manage the flow of efficient, informed, and friendly service to all guests.
General good vibes are a must.
Banquet experience is a plus.
The role of the Director will require managing of all aspects of the Bar & Restaurant operations, including running services, hiring staff, councilling staff, training staff, organizing special events/banquets, overseeing the bar/beverage program, controlling quality, scheduling (SLING), ordering, all cost controls, inventory and presentation, all while holding the team to high standards of consistency and cleanliness.
POS (TOAST) experience and Payroll (GUSTO) experience will be very helpful to this role.
You must be a competent administrator, and will be responsible for labor and food & beverage cost controls and effective scheduling, purchasing and inventory controls, and be responsible for safe and sanitary food handling practices and EHD compliance at all times.
This person will be required to obtain a Ventura County Managers Food Handling Certificate/Card.
You will be able to play Golf complimentary You must be proficient in basic administrative computer programs (excel, word, google docs, dropbox) and POS.
Extensive experience in FOH positions is required.
BOH experience, Spanish speaking and a certification in CPR a plus.
Being local in Ventura County will be a plus for this position.
